I went to my sister’s school today to take videos of their batch’s performance for something. Her class’ performance was mediocre but that’s understandable since they’re high school freshmen and they have no idea how much time and effort the upper batches actually put into stuff like that.
The sophomores were performing and this guy right behind us started badmouthing the performance of the first years because he was a second year. Saying stuff like:
- “Buti pa ‘yung mga second year, magagaling. ‘Di tulad ng mga first year ang pangit ng gawa.” (The sophomores are so much better. Unlike the freshmen whose work is trash.)
- “Asa pa ‘yan silang mananalo sila. Sa tingin niyo ba mananalo sila? Sus.” (As if they have a chance at winning. Do you think they’ll win? Psh”)
- “Narinig mo ba ‘yung diction nila? Parang ‘di ko feel. Mali-mali pa yung pronunciation.” (Did you hear their diction? I didn’t like it, even their pronunciation was wrong.)
Oh hell no, you insult their diction and their pronunciation? And you can’t even say the word ‘pronunciation’ right. Those kids have better diction compared to your teachers! Your teachers are there up on the stage and cannot decipher what’s wrong between “starting to my left” and “starting from my left.” And you’re a jejemon to top it all off.
It seemed like he wasn’t going to stop anytime soon, so I asked my sister what the hell was his problem. They didn’t have an idea and they looked too tiny and fragile to stand up to that a-hole. I took matters into my own hands.
Pointed fingers at this guy, and I tried my best to say it calmly but I ended up shouting.
“Hey Mister, if you can go up there on that stage and perform that piece all by yourself, then feel free to talk like that. You’re too much of a coward to say these things right behind their back. You do NOT insult what these kids did. You do NOT insult what they put their effort into. Shut your mouth if you don’t want me to shove my fucking tripod in it. Shut your mouth.”
I was going to add “P.S. Your attitude? It’s as ugly as your face.” But he was kinda tearing up so I stopped lol
I do not tolerate bullying, especially when it’s done to children who are too scared stand up for themselves. Had I not shouted at him, he would have continued and I would have really shoved my tripod in his big mouth. Fuck you mister, I was nice enough to call you mister and not asshole.
I’m pretty sure they didn’t understand what I said because I talked too fast (I always do when I’m mad) and also the only thing I heard right after that was – “Ano daw?” Heh, but he didn’t talk anymore, mission accomplished.
*starts slow clapping*
Damn, I wish I had the balls to do something like that whenever I came across inconsiderate a-holes. Haha awesomesauce!
